Chamonix 1035m
Situated at the base of Mont Blanc, the cosmopolitan resort of Chamonix offers skiers some of the most magnificent scenery in the world. The ski area attracts extreme skiers seeking a challenge on the steep slopes, gullies, powder chutes and endless off piste. Intermediates are offered an abundance of trails and mogul fields across the valley. Whilst Chamonix is not usually recommended for beginners, it does offer some gentle nursery slopes within easy walking distance of the town. Off the slopes the town has a casino and an endless selection of shops, bars, restaurants, and nightclubs. One week might not be enough.
